CFX parallel jobs on LSF
Hi, I have problem with submiting cfx parallel jobs on lsf platform. Main lsf policy is to select less loaded hosts and submit job on them. This means the result of host selection is different at any time. Cfx batch mode need to specify hosts in command line at submit. It must be done by the user and it doesn't work with lsf host selection. When we let lsf to select hosts and we don't select them in cfx command line then job will start in seriall mode. If we select them in command line, the job will exit.

Is there any solution ?

Re: CFX parallel jobs on LSF
You will need to write a script for LSF to run. Adding hosts at the command-line is straghtforward. To see a complete list of solver options, run 'cfx5solve -help'.

Re: CFX parallel jobs on LSF
The problem is that cfx job runs in parallel mode only if I select hosts (and I don't want that). Cfx need -star-method (like "HP MPI Distributed Parallel") and -par-dist option (where user select hosts) to run in parallel mode. I want to run job on hosts that lsf selects from less loaded computers.

I'm not sure if it is possible to make in normal bash scripts which I use for other jobs.

Re: CFX parallel jobs on LSF
I found the solution to my problem :)

LSF has command 'lsplace' whitch can be used in script to select less loaded processors in number we want. It have few defects but It solve my problem.
