Multiphase modelation

I have a flow with particles,40% solid particles, 60%Water.How i simulated this in ansys? Particle traking is the solution for this? How?I need a advice.

Hi,

That is a high particle load. Is it a fluidised bed or some other device? CFX only has limited options for dealing with high particle packing so there is a chance CFX cannot model it adequately by itself. In that case you may need to consider discreet element modelling software (such as EDEM) and couple that with CFX.

Hello Glenn

is it possible to couple the EDEM simulation with CFX

Hi,

I believe so, I don't have EDEM so don't know for sure. I have just heard about EDEM from the local software rep so have never actually used it.

I thought EDEM could only be coupled (two-way) with Fluent. I haven't heard yet it could be done with CFX.
