Mesh motion

Hi people,

I'm wondering if it's possible to set a mesh displacement at an opening (or outlet) boundary with CFX 10 or 11. My problem is to simulate a journal bearing. The shaft is fixed and the bearing is moving according to the applied external load. So I specified the displacement of the mesh on the bearing boundary (wall boundary), and I would like to have a mesh motion as "unspecified" on the side of the geometry, i.e. on the opening boundary.

It doesn't seem to be possible to do that. Someone has some suggestions for it?? Thanks.

Why don't just specify velocity on the outer surface boundary is there a reason/?

Hi,

The outer boundary is a wall with no velocity. Neverthesless I specified a mesh displacement at this boundary because I want to keep my shaft centered. But the problem is at the opening boundary.
