Hi All,
I'm trying to simulate 3D blood flow using Casson model as Dynamic Viscosity. I created a material in CFX-Pre and entered data previously suggested by Opaque. Here are the details when I open the material in command editor: LIBRARY: MATERIAL: Casson Material Group = User Object Origin = User Option = Pure Substance PROPERTIES: Option = General Material DYNAMIC VISCOSITY: Maximum Shear Strain Rate = 100 [s^-1] Minimum Shear Strain Rate = 0.001 [s^-1] Option = Casson Viscosity Consistency = 10 [kg m^-1 s^-1.0] Yield Stress = 100 [Pa] END EQUATION OF STATE: Density = 1050 [kg m^-3] Molar Mass = 1e-10 [kg kmol^-1] Option = Value END END END END CFX is giving me the following error: "The parameter "Option in "/LIBRARY/MATERIAL:Casson/PROPERTIES/DYNAMIC VISCOSITY" has the value "Casson". This does not match any of the allowed values: "Value, Sutherlands Formula, Rigid Non Interacting Sphere Model". Can anyone help with this? Thanks, CC. |

Dear CC,
Are you using ANSYS CFX 11.0? If you are, please write the definition file and see what the solver does. The "generalized non-newtonian models" are not allowed in the GUI (beta hidden capability), but they should work in the solver. Keep us posted, Opaque |
