Developing Hydrodynamic Layer

Hallo,

I am performing a transient CFD with parabolic velocity for the steady part of inlet velocity and rectangular profile sinusoidal for fluctating part of the velocity at the inlet.

I see at some distance later the change in the x direction is zero.(Fine) But what I need is exactly the change in x-direction =0 as close as to the inlet(say 4-5 cells later) I forgot to say, this is also a heat transfer problem with a partion of the channel is heated at the upstream close to the inlet.

Is there a way to make x-direction changes (streamwise direction I mean by x) 0 starting from the inlet in an unsteady run?

Thanks in advance, Selim
