Hi All,

I'm having trouble plotting a XY plot in CFX-11. My model is an artery which is simply a cylinder with a dint in the middle. I want to plot the radial distance on the X-axis and Axial Velocity on the Y-axis. I need to plot this at an exact location; i.e. 22.5mm along the axial direction (z axis). I'm having trouble in creating this location, as I am unable to create a "point" because I'm not in "time" plot. I tried creating 2 planes intersecting each other at 22.5mm but that didn't work...can anyone help?

Thanks, CC.

Hello CC,

I didn't understand what you mean by "time" plot. Usually for the case you have mentioned, creat 1st point at (0,0,22.5) and the 2nd point on the surface of the cylinder, i.e radially outward by giving the proper coordinates. Create a line between these points and then use chart option. Take 'radius' in x axis and desired parameter in y axis.

Regards Anantha
