Hi, I am having problem with the results file. Here is the thing, I am running my simulation on a UNIX system with commands without using a GUI. However, the simulation does NOT create a result file in each iteration whereas it was creating when i was running the simulation in my computer (on Windows) via GUI. While the options are same, why can't I get res files in each iteration? What do I need to do for this? Thnx for your concern.

Hi,
This is set in the CCL. Check that you are defining writing a file every iteration in the CCL or in CFX-Pre. Glenn Horrocks |

The simulation in UNIX only needs the .def file to start. The ccl file is created by itself after the simulation gets start. Thus, it seems I can only define writing a file in CFX-Pre. However, I do not know how to do this particularly in CFX-Pre. Also, it writes a .res file in after each iteration by itself when I run the simulation in Windows.

Hi,
CFX operates the same way in Windows, Linux and UNIX. There is nothing special about the UNIX setup. The CCL is contained in the def file. CFX-Pre writes the CCL depending on the options you choose. Check the output options in CFX-Pre and check you have set it to write the output file when you want them. Glenn Horrocks |
