Hi all,

Anybody know what the maximum mesh size is for modern computer using CFX is these days? Is it ram dependant? My solution does not need to be delivered quickly but does need large steady state simulations. Any advice would be appreciated.

1 million nodes takes about 1 GB of RAM. Give or take depending on what physical model you are using. Also, if you have a 32 bit machine, you won't be able to run anything over about 1.7 GB.

Hi,

Yes, it is RAM and OS dependant. Have a look in the documentation, it discusses the maximum simulation sizes.
