Interface CFX2ADAMS

Hi, does anyone know a possibility to couple CFX with MSC.ADAMS to generate aerodynamic loads in windturbine models. Does a subroutine or an interface exist? Thanks for any hint.

Hi,

You might be able to do it with MPCCI. This is a package which can link almost any modelling package with almost any other one - I know CFX has been linked with MPCCI previously but I am not sure if it is still in there. As CFX now has a direct link with ANSYS (no need for MPCCI) it is redundant for most people now.

You might try to couple CFX with ANSYS also. ANSYS is not only a FEA code but also can do some rigid body motion modelling. It is not as powerful as ADAMS but it might have enough and the link to CFX is MUCH easier.

Hi Glen,

thanks for the hint, I am checking it. As far as I know MpCCI links CFX with Marc, which is from MSC, too, and many other FSI tools.
