Default Exporting geometry from Solidworks to ICEM!

I can export the geometry from Solidworks to ICEM by changing the file format to IGES. But it effects the quality of my geometry, and more importantly the model is exported to ICEM as one whole unit. I am not able to create parts in ICEM to setup boundary conditions in CFX-Pre. Can anyone help please! Anyone input will be appreciated.

Peace Usman

Hi,

The best method is using parasolid. This has no geometry simplification. You still might have to sort the parts out in ICEM for boundary conditions.

There is a direct solidworks import into ICEM but I can't get it to work - but I did not try too hard.
