ERROR IN CFX 11
HELLO
DOES ANYONE KNOWS WHAT IS THIS ERROR MEANS? A wall has been placed at portion(s) of an INLET | | boundary condition (at 100.0% of the faces, 100.0% of the area) | | to prevent fluid from flowing out of the domain. | | The boundary condition name is: in. | | The fluid name is: Air at 25 C. | | If this situation persists, consider switching | | to an Opening type boundary condition instead. |
Re: ERROR IN CFX 11
perhaps it's a problem of flow recirculation in the inlet
|
Re: ERROR IN CFX 11
Basically, your flow is trying to escape out of your inlet. So either: (a) your domain isn't big enough (b) you've set something up wrong somewhere (c) your solution is diverging
If it isn't (a), then check your settings (b), and if they look OK, try tightening the under-relaxation (c). |
Re: ERROR IN CFX 11
You can try to choose double precision in solver manager.

Re: ERROR IN CFX 11
Hi
Can you give a rough idea about the problem you are trying to solve. Basically all the responses given above will help.If your domain is really small to get the results converged, try putting an extension with free slip boundary. hope this helps |
Re: ERROR IN CFX 11
hello
it is a model of a mountain where on the top is a wind turbin, so the model is very big . is this helping you? thanks |
