CFX Compatibility

My computer was just upgraded to CFX 11.0

However, I am still having some files generated from CFX 4.4 including geometry file (.GEO), database file (.DB).

I'd like to know if I can use these files in CFX 11.0?

Note: I tried the dump file (.dmp) already and it's OK.

Thank you very much.

Re: CFX Compatibility

Hi,

You won't be able to load the .db file. You should be able to load the .geo file into CFX-Pre. Once it is in CFX-Pre you can generate a .def file - if you want to edit the mesh you can load the .def file into ICEM and edit it there.

The output .dmp file will be able to be read into CFX-Post but you won't be able to use it for restarts or anything like that.
