Hello Folks,
I´m working in a hydrocyclone and I would like to know how could I build a histogram of particle sizes(or mass) at underflow and overflow using CEL. My model is steady state, lagragian multiphase model(Tracking Particles), SSG turbulent model, Buoyancy, normal particle size distribution at inlet. Best Regards, |

Hey Vallejo,
I was working with hydrocyclone (single phase flow) once and found it really difficult to match the predicted velocity profile with that from experiments (I am talking about a nice agreement). Especially in lower region of conical part. I used SSG-RSM turbulence model with transient solver. I am wondering if we can share our experiences and learn. Are you able to get nice velocity profile aggrement using SSG model? Did you try LES? And what meshing software are you using? Positively looking forward for your reply, Regards, Joe |
