Hi guys

How can i specify constant pressure gradient in my LES simulation. In paper they have used -1.59 Pa/m as a constant pressure gradient. How can i use that value as my pressure in CFX? Thanks

Hi,

Isn't the pressure gradient a result of the simulation or experiment, not an input to it?

Are you modelling a section of pipe or channel? If this is the case you can either:

1. Use a subdomain momentum source in the flow direction to drive the flow, which gives the desired dP/L.

2. Use a periodic domain interface with the Pressure Change option. The gradient is then (specified pressure change)/(Length of domain).
