CFX 11 SP1 runs on Vista (Business) with problems when run in local parallel(MPICH2).Sometimes it runs, but sometimes not (solver not responding).

There are problems with distributed parallel (MPICH2) mode on Vista. How to configure CFX parallelization on Vista?

Hi,

CFX V11 SP1 is fully supported on Vista. It should work, but if it does not you should report it to your support rep.

With Vista problems with drivers for things like video card, network cards and other things can cause strange errors so I would check all your drivers are current and Vista compatible.

Hi,

As has been said many times before, CFX V11sp1 is supported on Vista so if it does not work for you then you should talk to your support office to resolve the issue.

The only general advice I can give here is that I understand that a number of hardware vendors released poor quality Vista drivers for their devices in the early days of Vista. Many vendors have improved the quality of their drivers in recent times so it is worthwhile checking the drivers for everything on your machine are current - Particularly check the video card driver.
