Default Mesh generation: Optimum O-Grid Parameters

Hi there,

I´ve been using ICEM for mesh generation and I have been wondering about the O-grid.

Consider a regular cilinder with o-grid running from one end to another. Is there a optimum o-grid parameter (edge length) which minimizes the distortion (i mean, which keeps the of the elements?

Any help would be useful Thanks in advance

For a cylinder you should get 45° as the worst angle. Then you must have a first layer depending on y+, and you should have a growing ratio of 1.2 (or around). Also you have to check the volume ratio between the volumes created by the o grid and the ones in the center. Bye.
