MAxium residual...confusion with expert parameter

I want to know the location of higher residuals in my domain. The manual (modeling guide v11 page 394) talks about some expert parameter 'output eq residuals' which I am not able to see in the chapter 'Expert Control Parameter' from the same manual.

1) Is this expert parameter available ? What will it do ? (will it write location of max residual to .res file?)

2) I see another expert parameter 'monitor residual' ? Does it write residual and location to *.out file or *.res file?

Thanks, KK

The location of maximum residual for each equation is printed anyway at the end of output file.

Question rephrased in better words

Hi Harshad, Thanks for your reply. I wanted to know

1) Can I know the location of maximum residuals WHILE the simulation is running? If yes, how?

2) The location that you talked about, just tells about ONE location of maximum residuals. I wanted to know if some how I can create volumes in CFX-Post [Location-> Volume (type -isovolume)] to see the regions of higher residuals (To decide if they are in my region of interest). For that I want to know how to right residuals in result file.

And it would be really great if you can clarify the two expert parameters I mentioned in my first post in this thread.

Thanks again, KK

Re: Question rephrased in better words

On the output control form, select 'Output Equation Residuals'. Or set the expert parameter 'output eq residuals=t'. Both work.
