Hi,

I wanna spray an aerosol in a room. But I dont know how to describe an aerosol in CFX. Can anyone tell me how to do that? Is there a standard model to chose just like for water or do I have to do special adjustments?

Hi,

An aerosol could be modelled using a eularian or lagrangian model, depending on what physics are important to the simulation. CFX has both eularian and lagrangian models available.

You will have to describe what you are doing more before we can help.

hi,

I spray the aerosol in a room and for me it is important, that it touches the walls equally and afterwards I would like to see how many particles hit the walls at different places.

Most important physics are particle size and density.

Hi,

If you want to know how many particles hit the walls you will need a lagrangian particle tracking model. There is a tutorial example, I think it is flow past a butterfly valve which uses lagrangian particle tracking.
