Default modeling a fan

Hi, I want to simulate a rotational fan in a cavity. I am not sure how to mesh this 3D thin surface fan. I created the fan as thin surface body in UG and create mesh in gambit. But when I import the .msh file into pre, it says Unable to import mesh:no elements in grid-surface mesh.

I don't know how to fix this problem. Is there another way to mesh/model this fan?

Thank you very much for your help!
