harmonic wave

Guys,

I like to thank every one for answering questions on this site. It is a real source of help for me.

I have another simple question as I said before I am very new to CFX

i AM MODELING A pipe with same diameter on the inlet and outlet, I am trying to run a transient analysis.

on the inlet I want to apply a sin(t) and observe the wave motion as it propgated in the pipe.

I think the way to go is to apply it through expresions and functions, I have done that but how can I relate this created expression (sint) to my inlet boundary conditions

Am I doing the wright thing, if there is a btter way pls let me know

thanks

Re: harmonic wave

Hi,

Have a look at tutorial 3 in the CFX examples. It uses a CEL expression to control the fluid viscosity but the same concept can be used to control boundary conditions as well.

Where is the CFX example in Tutorial 3 that I couldn't find

Best wishes

Why do you pick up a query from 2008? This is 15 years old.
I would not expect any relevant answer.

Although in this case the person who made that post 15 years ago is still around. If you look carefully you will find some posts from me which are much older than that :)

I was referring simply to a tutorial example which contained some CEL expressions. While the tutorials have been reordered and renumbered many times since then, you will still find many of the tutorial examples use CEL expressions. So just look through the tutorial examples and find one which uses CEL - lots of them do, so it will not be too hard to find.
