Hi, im currently running some models in cfx and want to save the results mid run. Is this possible and how can i do this. thanks Chris

Hit the disc shaped button on the toolbar of the CFX Solver monitor. Then, at the the end of the iteration, you will see a message in the text output window saying that a backup file has been written. The filename will be ##.bak, where ## represents the iteration number. It will be saved to the directory being used by the current run.

Give CFX enough time to complete the writing the file - they can of course be very big - and to release the file lock (just a few seconds to wait - but saves confusion). Then fire up CFX-Post and open the .bak and see your results.

Note that if .bak files are created, then the run directory is not deleted at the end of the run - so be careful they don't start to take up too much disc space if you do a lot of backups.

(The alternative answer would have been to RTFM! It's all explained there.
