Default convergence problem with high viscosity

Dear all, I am working on simulation of gear motor. It's 2D steady state simulation. I had quite good results but now, when I increase the dynamic viscosity from 0.02 to 0.8 kg/m*s there are poor convergence problem. Next info about the model: material-oil, turbulence model-komega, advection scheme-upwind, time step-1e-4, intlet-static pressure, outlet-static pressure, taken the velocity of gears... I heard that higher value of the viscosity is better for convergence. Thanks a lot for answers and sorry for my english.
