Hexa volume meshing

Hi all,

I'm currently a final year student undertaking a thesis project on a submarine. I'm new to ICEM CFD. I've been given a geometry (tetin, tin?) file with a blocking file. I need to create a Hexahedral mesh and transfer this to CFX. If anyone could give me any guidance or tips with this it would be much appreciated. I'm using version 11.0.

Thanks,

sam

Re: Hexa volume meshing

since you have geometry and block file in hand, you can pre-mesh the geometry and check the quality of the mesh to meet you require. then convert the mesh to nonstructure mesh. finally output to cfx.namely, click the output button, select the ansys cfx slover.

by the way,you can read the tutorial about this problem.
