o grids in icem

Hi,

I have a 2d hex mesh in icem that contains an o grid around the outside of a circle. I want to remove the circle from the geometry and hence the o grid from the mesh. If I just delete the block in the centre of the circle it does strange things to the surrounding blocks. I think I need to change the o grid blocks back to normal blocks but I can't find a simple way of doing so. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks,

Oli

You'll want to merge vertices. Pick two of the vertices along the o-grid edge to remove that index - and it will go back to just h-grids. (You'll have to experiment on which vertex to pick first - but I think you first pick the vertex you want to remain.)

Thanks. Got it to work with a combination of merging blocks and verticies
