Jet flow problem.. PLZ help URGENT!!

Dear friends, I want to simulate a jet flow. Air comes out from a jet of 5 X 80 mm slit. I have to use a turbulence model. Which turbulence model will be suitable for this problem??

I am also solving an external flow problem where Mach number is 10. Which turbulence model will be suitable for this problem. I am interested in determining drag and temperature distribution over the surface of the body.

PLZ REPLY.. ITS URGENT..

Hi,

Jet - depends on the Reynolds number and also what type of results you are looking for. SST is a good starting point but some circumstances might need an LES approach.

Mach 10 - Generally very simple zero and one equation turbulence models are used for hypersonics but again that depends on what you are trying to model. You might need a two equation model. I would probably start with SST again.
