Correct location for inflow and outflow boundaries
Im modeling a 2D pipe with a double backward step using air as the fluid. Needed to know whether there is any way to determine whether my inflow and outflow boundaries have been placed in the correct location. There is one inflow and one outflow. How can i determine this? And how could i correct it in Ansys 11.0 CFX-Pre?
Thanks a tonne.
Re: Correct location for inflow and outflow bounda
If you are modeling a pipe which already exits, then you should follow the inflow, outflow as per your existing pipe geometry.
And if you have to decide the inflow and outflow boundary, then you must have some crieterias such as uniform distribution of air, uniform temperature inside the pipe etc. in your mind for judgment.
Now it's you who has to decide between this two.
