Hi,

it seems that there ist something wrong in the theory manual (xthry11.pdf) from CFX-11. In Eqn.4 (page 71) the term \nabla p (pressure gradient) is missing in the averaged momentum equation. In the laminar form in Eqn. 78 (page 23) the pressure gradient exists - so where it is going? Could somebody explain?

best regards, Ulf

I think on page 71 it's considered part of the stress. i.e the normal and shear stress are added together with the pressure gradient being the normal part of the stress.
