ICEM 11 mesher
Suppose we have some kind of geometry. For sumplicity let it be a right angle. After generating simple tetrahedral mesh using ICEM 11 we can discover that tetrahedrons that lie near this angle don't fit to it - tetrahedrons are so big and coarse that they can't duplicate the form of right angle. The question is how to fix it?

Re: ICEM 11 mesher
click on the "right angle"-spline(s) -> set spline-mesh options to a appropriate low mesh size -> mesh curve -> mesh all ... voila
that was a problem I had to handle with too... |
Re: ICEM 11 mesher
Sorry but I misunderstand something. Do you propose to set curve mesh options using "Mesh -> Curve Mesh Setup"? Should I set finer sizes until mesh fits good to "right angle"? I can't really understand what does "Mesh -> Mesh Curve" do. And one more thing: the "right angle" is formed by two surfaces and there are no curves, so I can't setup anything concerning curve.

Re: ICEM 11 mesher
I think there should be some tools concerning aligning mesh with surfaces in edit mesh tab...

Re: ICEM 11 mesher
Have you tried creating a curve at the intersection? Run the Repair Geometry/build topology tool ( check the filter points and curves options). ICEM always puts nodes on points and curves so this should fix your problem.
Let us know if it worked, Felix |

That works! Thanx for answer

Re: ICEM 11 mesher
Unfortunately, after repairing geometry mesh couldn't be built properly - thousands of mistakes and problems (((
