co-firing coal and biomass

Hi there:

I have an issue with co-firing coal and biomass in the boiler? Will someone here give me any help?

Thanks

Hi Rogerio, thank you for replying me.

I am using non-premixed combustion model in FLUENT to simulate the co-fired combustion of biomass and coal. They are injected from different location of the boiler.

I can't find a way to achieve that. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

Hai Cecillia,

I also used non premixed combustion model for gasification of biomass in fluent using DPM method.

But you can solve your problem using CFX.

Hi
I am trying to simulate co-firing of coal and biomass using non-premixed combustion model. I am not sure how to specify the properties of the second fuel (biomass) in CFX. Can someone please guide.
Moreover, I am unable to get converged solution for only coal simulation. I tried with both CFX and Fluent. Please help. I can be contacted at abdulganij@gmail.com

Thanks in Advance
