Hi everyone. i am trying to use the SST model for the airfoil(the attach angle is 30 degree, the seperation is happened in the up side) in CFX.but i find unlike the standard k-epslion, it is more sensitve to the mesh,a coarse mesh (Y+<7 ) will lead to a large area calculated in k-omega model both in the down and up side of airfoil,by checking first blending function(F1) in the post.when i make a fine mesh (Y+<1, with at least 15 mesh point in the boundary),the result seems good. and in the up side of airfoil, which have the flow seperation, the F1 shows that the k-omega model is used only in the boundary layer, nothing unbefitting, but in the down side there were no flow seperation by adverse pressure-gradient,but still a large area in k-omega model the thichness of the area i larger than that of the boundary layr,so i tried a finer mesh.but the result is something like coarse mesh.

can anyone give me some good idea to make mesh for the sst?or how to make a good setting for "SST"?

yours wayne
