overflow when interpolate initial result

Dear All,

I got a strange problem and need your help.

I stopped the run to change some physical properties without any change to the geometry and mesh. When I re-run the case, I got an overflow error if I interpolate the res from previous run into def. Then I tried to use the same res file as initial but turned off the interpolate option and this time I had no problem running the solver at all. Why? Because of this problem, I could not use res from other cases as initial and had to run the solver from nothing for different cases.

Thanks and looking forward to your help!

Regards, Richard

Re: overflow when interpolate initial result

I had a similar problem earlier and found out it was something to do with the timestep. My doubt: What happens to the timestep when you interpolate? Does the solver use the timestep (may be the small physical timestep or auto)that is specified in your def file or does it use the final timstep available from result file that you used to interpolate?
