I'm sorry for my poor english. My question is not very clear. For example,if I want to creat a square surface 5 mm deep, then what I shoud do is build it as a square entity. Am I right? thanks

U can make this on Solid Works and export to ICEM CFD as step file or parasolid file! do you want to analyze the conducting heat transfer at cubic walls? Tell us about the dimensions of your geometry!

you mean a surface with thickness can't be created during ICEM CFD?thanks,Rogerio and no heat transfer, there are lots of ostioles on the cube 5mm thick. Air or water can flow through them.I only want to analyze the flow identity such as velocity,pressure... however,2D mesh can't be import into cfx.So...

So, let me make sure that you like to generate 2D geometry..right?

then the thickness does not matter. (you can have any thickness you like to have)

But Make sure CFX can only import volume element.

so generate a thin volume, and when you mech the volume, make sure you have only one layer of volume element.

After that apply symmetric boundary conditions for both walls.
