Mesh problems for keel

Im having troubles with getting a good mesh for the leading and trailing edge of a keel. Im using the Tetra mesh with 3 prism layers and decreased the tetra height as far as I can go with current computer. Any ideas? Here's link to a pic of the problem:

Thanks!

Re: Mesh problems for keel

The trailing edge seems to be quite sharp. There are two issues here. 1 - You'll probably want to use 'thin cuts' to keep the two sides of the keel separated and avoid the 'jagged' trailing edge mesh. Then you can use a larger mesh size and keep the two sides separate. (See the help system or contact your support rep for details on using thin cuts.) 2 - The prisms might be messy due to the two normals at the trailing edge being almost 180-deg apart.

Hi,

I would make the geometry two blocks split along the symmetry plane. In my experience thin cuts is variable, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.
