Modelling Viscoelasticity

Hi All,

I want to solve a problem with Viscoelastic material in CFX, i have a graph for shear stress versus strain rate.

Can anybody suggest me as how i can feed in this data in CFX?

Thanks in Advance,

Re: Modelling Viscoelasticity

Hi,

If you want to do a viscoelastic simulation, the material stress state will be dependent on its history (not the case for Newtonian generalized Newtonian). This can not, as far as I know, be done using CFX 11.

If, however, you want just a shear rate dependent viscosity, this can be implemented easily using CEL expressions.
