Hi

I am running LES simulation with periodic boundaries. I am monitoring velocity at a point in my domain. I observe steady increase in my velocity. Why is that?? Any input will be welcome.

Thank you

Hi,

Almost always this is due to the physics of the simulation you have defined, for instance a heat source with no heat sink so the temperature steadily rises.

It can also be caused by inadequate convergence.

Hi Glenn

I am observing significant increase in my velocity. As a result my LES results look very different than my RANS solution. At the start of my siumlation I had a velocity of 2 m/s but now its almost 3.5 m/s. There has to be something here.
