Single phase result file for multiphase simulation

Hi there, I have completed one single phase simulation. Now I want to add solid particles also (Eulerian-Eulerian). Will it be ok to use the converged results from single phase simulation as the initial condition for multiphase simulation? Because the single phase result file does not have any solid particle information at all.

I am asking this question because FLUENT manual does not recommend doing it. I want to learn from your CFX eperience.

Thanks very much, Best Regards, Kushagra

Hi,

This sounds like a good starting point to me, particularly if the particle load is light and therefore does not change the fluid flow much.

Thanks Glenn. I will try it. Kushagra
