2D periodic problem

Hey all, I need some help.

I am modelling a 2D turbo machinery passage using ICEM. I have set a translational periodicity and applied it to the blocking... then applied all edge and point associations and checked the periodicty of the resulting grid. It says no problems found and I have rechecked often. Now I export the mesh into Fluent V6 but when I load the msh, Fluent gives me the following error:

Building...

grid,

Warning: Inappropriate zone type (periodic) for one-sided face zone 15.

Changing to wall. Warning: Inappropriate zone type (periodic) for one-sided face zone 16.

Changing to wall. Error: FLUENT received fatal signal (ACCESS_VIOLATION)

1. Note exact events leading to error.

2. Save case/data under new name.

3. Exit program and restart to continue.

4. Report error to your distributor.

Error Object: ()

If I just define the periodic curves/boundaries as walls, Fluent loads just fine, but without the option of making those 2 periodic.

I cannot seem to find out what I'm doing wrong... Maybe someone might have more insight into the precedure.

Thanks, Markus
