Hi,

I am using CFX 11. My problem is I want to plot vorticity in the results. I have included the vorticity information in the CCL file and added it to the .def file. But when use this def file and generate the results and try to plot vorticity in cfx post 11, I could not find the variable information for VORTICITY. Could u pls help me with this.

If it will not work, please also suggest me an alternative method to work this out.

Thanks Venky.,

Hi, This query has been answered here before, you may perform a search for more info. Simplest method is to goto to your VARIABLES files in the Etc folder and set the 'Output to Postprocessor' to 'Yes'for the Vorticity variable.

Hi,

We have common server from where we use CFX. So the folder ETC I could not access. So, what I am trying to do is open CFX-PRE and then export my def file as a CCL file and add the following lines of code,

VARIABLE: vorticity

Output to Postprocessor = Yes END

and then importing it back into the PRE. But when I run the analysis, I could not see any variable called vorticity in the results file. Can someone throw light on this? I know I can write an expression for vorticity but I want to make use of this default setting provided by ICEM.

Venky/.
