I want to make a plot of mass flow rate variation along the length of a thin plane. I have an xy plane which, in x driection the length is very small compared to the length in y direction. The flow is through the z axis. I can create multiple lines, parallel to y axis, along the plane in x axis and take average velocity in each line and plot them. But I am looking for a better solution to easily extract the mass flow rate along the y axis. Can you give me a suggestion on how to do that?
