LES-Smagorinsky model
 

Dear everyone..

I am going to use LES-Smagorinsky model for multiphase simulation of stirred tank reactor using ANSYS CFX 11.0 version.

when i do setup the physics, i am getting the all turbulence model in menu list except LES-Smagorinnsky model, i was wondering whether i have to do somethingelse for setup of LES simulation in the case of multiphase flows.

and also i have enabled the beta version options

Hi,

I think you might need an advanced turbulence modelling license to access this. Also it might not be on the GUI, you may have to call it in CEL.

Sorry, you need to call it in CCL. CEL is the expression language which is different.

Thanks for replying.. we are already having advanced turbulence modeling license. could you suggest me where i could get CCL for LES model.

Is there any templates available for LES model.

Well, just to rule out a silly reason, LES only shows up when you set your simulation type to transient. Have you done that already?
