capillary force modelling

Hi,

I am trying to solve this kind of problem.

A capillary tube (diameter is less than 0.1 mm) is immersed into water and air goes into the tube. Then, a bubble will grow and be detached finally.

Do you think this can be simulated with CFX?

My results do not show bubble formation. They only show mixture behavior. Separated air bubble is not shown in my analysis results.

What is the problem? These are the models that I use. Water and Gas is set as continuous. Homogeneous model is selected for both fluids.

I look forward to your reply.

Thanks!!

Hi,

Have you activated surface tension and wall wetting angle?
