Dear all, I am trying to create an o-grid. No matter what I try, I end up with resulsts similar to the posted picture: The grid is not orthogonal to the wall at the inlet. Do you have any suggestion that could help me? Thanks alot! Rescaling the o-grid didn't help, but may be I am just selecting the wrong edge? Any help would be appreciated! Thank a lot! Best regards, jane

You need to make the O-grid so it extends inside the inner-most circular piece. Then split the O-grid (along the 'radial' edge to capture the boundary of that inner protrusion. (This is instead of using the initial O-grid to capture that boundary.)

Dear myron, this was the way the go! After splitting the o-grid in the radial and horizontal direction I discarded the first four outer blocks, associated vertices, edges and faces - et voilá! Thank you very much for your input! All the best, jane

Masoud82 is on a distinguished road
hi friends!! i am trying to mesh a cylinder with a hole in center.i generated o-grid well and associated vertices well.and after that set the pre-mesh parameters.but after that ICEM generated the mesh only for cylinder(around the circles ).and not for o-grid.sounds like that there is no O-grid generated in center of the cylinder !!help me please
thanks!!excuse me for my bad English
