[urgent] ICEM: from 2D to 3D using extrude
I followed the ICEM tutorial: 2D pipe junction and define several blocks to mesh a 2D geometry. No surface was created. After converting pre-mesh to unstructured mesh, I used extrude to get one-element thickness in z direction. Then in the output Tab, I choose "ANSYS CFX" solver and write input file. However, when i tried to import the mesh (.cfx5) in CFX-Pre, always an error, saying that no mesh exists in the requested file. I has been stucked for several days. Would anyone please help me? Thanks a lot.

Re: [urgent] ICEM: from 2D to 3D using extrude
Hi, my first suggestion: Did you define the ICEMCFD as a file format in CFX-Pre/Mesh_Import dialog ?
second: Has you checked the mesh by ICEMCFD mesh checking? Is it without problems? Zbynek |

did the mesh is error free when checked in icem with check mesh? and second point when you export in icem is it doing the export without any errors?
