Hi,
Can you please tell us what you are trying to do so we can put it in context? Also please include the output file, or if that is too long just the CCL component at the start of the output file. Glenn Horrocks |

Thanks for your respond. In fact, I am modelling the deformation of a liquid droplet on the rough wall. I used Design Modeller to draw a wall with multi nodes to prepresent for roughness of the surface. As a reults, the mesh is quite difficult. In the begining, I always get the memory allocation error. Then, I tried to reduced the mesh size and got this error. I think that it is from the memory allocation. Do you have any idea how to solve it. Or any way to produce a surface with a roughness. Thanks

I've seen a similar problem like this before. We had a model that would run just fine but whenever we tried to write a backup or results file it would crash. In our case we found there was a user variable that would do weird things whenever CFX tried to write out results for it, causing it to crash. Not sure if this is the same in your case but it's something to check at least.

Thanks John,
would you pls. show me how to deal with it. I think my problem is similar with your previous problem. My simulation run well, but it crash every time when I tried to write back up file. Waiting for your reply. Thanks |

Hi John,
Sounds like a bug in CFX. Can you try it is CFX V12 and if it is still present report it and hopefully it can get fixed. Glenn Horrocks |

Thanks, Glenn. However, we have not had Ansys 12 yet.

Hi,
V12 is in beta and will not be released until next year. Talk to your CFX support person so you can get a copy of the beta version for testing. Glenn Horrocks |
