mesh difference

Hi, everyone

I'm using ansys workbench to creat cfd mesh.

however, in the pop-menu of "mesh", there are two types: one is CFD mesh, and the another one is "CFX-mesh". CFD mesh in awe can creat hex mesh easily, but in CFX-mesh, we can not produce hex but only tex mesh, also can make prism. i really don't know the difference between CFD mesh and CFX-mesh, can anybody explain a little? Thanks very much.

Hi

You can create the mesh in CFD mesh, Open it with ICEM and translate it to cxf5 for use in CFX Pre.

Or you can build your geometry on SolidWorks software, then save as "name.STEP" file and import it on ICEM CFD.
