Cd and Ca coefficient with CFX

Hi,

I'm trying to compute the drag coefficient and the added mass coefficient with CFX but I have some issues with the values I shall take.

For the drag coefficient I'm using Force_X@body but to get the Cd coeffcient which value of velocity and area should I take ?

What is the methodology to get the Ca ?

Thank you for your help

Hi,

What is Ca?

Cd is referenced to a sensible velocity. For something like external aerodynamics of a wing or a car it is usually the far-field velocity.

Ca is the added mass coefficient

nobody knows about the added mass coefficient. I heard you can use an oscillating flow but i don't know how to set it up. Thank you for your answers
