Default error in command editor when doing tutorial 20!

I was doing the tutorial 20 and when i run the command:

! system ("cfx5mkext -name meshread juncbox/*.F") < 1 or die;

I get this error:

ERROR CCL parser failed with message: Perl Syntax errors detected: Died at (eval 63) line 1.

Why is that so? In the dos prompt that opens together with CFX, there was a long list of errors.

Also I typed cfx5mkext directly at the command line and I got some errors like "Use of uninitialised value in...."

and the final error message was "The compiler command 'ifort' could not be found. Please ensure that the compiler is on your PATH and try again."

What does that mean? Please, anybody help.

Hi Sir Faraaz,

please confirm if you use the necessary softwares.

For Windows XP Pro (32bit), you will need:

- Intel Visual Fortran Compiler v9.0/v9.1, MS Visual C++ .NET 2003 or Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition or Microsoft Visual Studio 2005;

For Windows XP (64bit):

- Intel Visual Fortran Compiler v9.0/v9.1, and MS Platform SDK for Windows Server 2003 SP1.

with due regard,

Hi, I have Windows Vista (32bit). I don't think I have Intel Visual Fortran Compiler. What version would I need? Will the latest version work? Also, I have checked in Control Panel in the uninstall program list,I can see there is Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. So I guess visual C++ is installed. Or do I need any other versions?

Thanks for helping. Once I get the required software I will intall them. And yes, once I intalled those programs, should I do anything else in order to make it work with CFX?
