Turbulence eddy frequency

Hi all,

who can tell me the definition of turbulence eddy frequency? It's the ratio of the eddy velocity scale to eddy length scale, is it right?

Thanks

Michael

Re: Turbulence eddy frequency

Hi,

Refer to a turbulence modelling textbook (eg Wilcox, Turbulence modelling for CFD) but in short the turbulence eddy frequency is the inverse of the turbulence time scale, or the rotation time for a typical turbulent eddy.
