RSM model

Hello everyone,

I am currently working on an air-flow through a simple combustor project. I have used the k-epsilon to do the simulation and got the converged results. The next step is to use the RSM model to do another simulation and compare the results due to these two different models.

The problem I have now is that for the RSM model I cannot get the converged resutls. I have done the mesh refinement for the whole system and tried the local mesh refinement in the important areas, but unfortunately, nothing works.

By the way, RSM in CFX is specified as many types, like SSL, SSG, etc, which one is simple but acurrate.

Could someone help me with this? If possible, I'd like to be contacted via email staranderic@126.com.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes for you and happy new year.

Eric

Re: RSM model

Dear Eric

Unfortunately non of the RSM models are simple, which then effects their accuracy. If you have a wall resolution of below y+=11, then I would use either of the omega based models.

As they are more complex, the RSM models are harder to obtain convergence with.

Adam
