2D simulations in CFX - PROBLEM

Default 2D simulations in CFX - PROBLEM

Hello I am trying to do 2D simulation in CFX for fluid flow using Ansys Workbench. I create teh geometry and mesh it in Workbench. But when I export the 2D model CFX-Pre says that the geometry is not a valid 3D geometry. I have chosen 2D in the Project main tab; still the problem exists

Is there some default that I need to set?

To be honest, I don't know what you mean by chosing '2D in the Project main tab'. Anyway, if you're using CFX 11, you should follow the advice at:
